It’s well and truly movie season – London Film Festival is kicking off next week, so here are some trailers to tide you over til then!

The Hate U Give

Introducing Starr Carter, played by The Hunger Games and Darkest Minds star Amandla Stenberg.  Starr Carter is constantly switching between two worlds: the poor, mostly black, neighbourhood where she lives and the rich, mostly white, prep school she attends. The uneasy balance between these worlds is shattered when Starr witnesses the fatal shooting of her childhood best friend Khalil at the hands of a police officer.  Now, facing pressures from all sides of the community, Starr must find her voice and stand up for what’s right.

The Hate U Give also stars Regina Hall, Russell Hornsby, Lamar Johnson, Issa Rae, Algee Smith, Sabrina Carpenter, with Common and Anthony Mackie.

The Hate U Give is released in UK cinemas October 22

Fahrenheit 11/9

Fahrenheit 11/9 is a political documentary about the 2016 United States presidential election and the subsequent presidency of Donald Trump, from acclaimed filmmaker Michael Moore (Where To Invade Next, Fahrenheit 9/11).  

It’s a provocative and comedic look at the times in which we live. It will explore the two most important questions of the Trump Era: How the f**k did we get here, and how the f**k do we get out?

Fahrenheit 11/9 releases in UK cinemas from October 19.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

Spider-Man™: Into the Spider-Verse introduces Brooklyn teen Miles Morales, and the limitless possibilities of the Spider-Verse, where more than one can wear the mask. Bob Persichetti and Peter Ramsey direct, along with Rodney Rothman.

This new trailer introduces us to a whole host of Spider-people. Just how many more Spider-people are there?!
