Two months ahead of its scheduled release, the second trailer to Creed II has dropped and our levels of anticipation are higher than ever.

“Victor Drago, son of Ivan Drago, who infamously killed Apollo Creed, appeared today to issue a challenge to Adonis Creed,” states the news presenter.

This new trailer confirms what was teased in the first: Michael B. Jordan‘s Creed will indeed to up against the son of his father’s killer. Cue intercut scenes of Victor Drago (played by the imposing and real-life boxer Florian Munteanu) and Adonis Creed training for what looks to be the fight of their lives.

And so Rocky IV fans will be thrilled to see that reprising his role as Ivan Drago is Dolph Lundgren, keeping up the franchise’s tradition of employing legacy cast.

There is also the sense that this sequel will be a more emotionally complex experience, as Creed must balance his legacy with his obligations to his new family (with rising star Tessa Thompson reprising her role as his love interest, Bianca).

Creed II is set to be another must-watch outing from Michael B. Jordan, Sylvester Stallone and Tessa Thompson.

Creed II is released in UK cinemas on November 30th, distributed by Warner Bros.
